Polocrosse Challenge The American Polocrosse Award for Exemplary Sportsmanship Best Horse Award

Calling all Polocrosse Players!

Hello to all Polocrosse Players:

My name is Jessie Reed. I have been a pony clubber since 1983, and continue to be involved with pony club since I have graduated in 2000.  I have competed in many disciplines, mainly Eventing to the Intermediate level and Polocrosse.

I am also your newly appointed Pony Club liaison for Polocrosse.  I want to challenge every Pony Clubber who competes in Polocrosse rally to compete in an APA Tournament as well this year.  For most of you, there are established polocrosse clubs within reasonable traveling distance to contact and get involved with.  You can visit the American Polocrosse website to find one near you: www.americanpolocrosse.org

What would you say if I told you there are opportunities for you to compete around the world, to compete in world championships, to compete in the World Cup?  Polocrosse offers these opportunities to you.  You do not need an expensive highly trained horse.  You do not need to compete every weekend and spend lots of money to get there.  All you need is to practice and play in a couple of tournaments and you will be recognized.  There are development teams in the APA that offer wonderful opportunities to travel and compete in places such as: Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, etc...

I want you to experience polocrosse outside of Pony Club and report to me your experiences, your suggestions, your ideas on how to make Polocrosse better in Pony Club and in the APA. You are our future players.

Please feel free to use me as a reference if you are looking to do a clinic in your area, if you are looking for equipment, if you have any questions and suggestions...

Hope to hear from you soon and meet you at Nationals this year!

Sincerely,

Jessie Reed
